Karachi: Pakistan’s first messaging platform tello talk announced the achievement of $ 16 million funding from association of international and domestic investors.

- Tello talk is an instant messaging application that allows people to communicate, share contact, transfer payments, use push-to-talk feature for walkie-talkie functionally and shares images and files.
- The funds will be used for marketing and advertising, expanding infrastructure and for product development.
- Seed round is the stage with local venture investors Alm Holdings (United Arab Emirates), Spark Labs Fin Tech (Asian), One Market Capital (USA) and Coconut Ignite Ventures (Hong Kong). PLE Ventures and I 2 I Ventures were included.

Besides text, voice and video calling the platform provides curated content in Urdu, English, Sendhi , Pasto, Punjabi ,Balochi and other reginal languages . User can also experience features like ordering food delivery, requesting a ride, pay utility bills, check bank balance and transfer cash directly from app.
Similar to “WeChat” in China and “KakuTalk” in Korea, “Tello Talk” is important for Pakistan, which connects with a highly active messaging platform nationally, Capable of providing sharing, commerce and corporate services. Spark Labs has already invested in about 300 tech startups globally and this will be our fourth investment in Pakistan.
