Now airports introduced advanced identification system

Pakistan introduces new state of the art identification system across all airports in the country.

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has introduced a new passenger identification system at all airports in the country for the finding and prevention of smuggling and money laundering.

Pakistan Customs has launched a risk management system to identify travelers at seven airports in the country. Under this system, pre-identification of passengers will be possible.

Press said that, Global travelers assessments system (GTAS) is now operational at seven major airports of the country for which customs staff has been trained.

According to the statement, the system is designed keeping in mind the implementation of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) action plan.

Chairmn FBR Syed Shabber to achieve the “invisible customs approach” with the least presence at airport while facilitating genuine passengers.

With this system, drug smugglers and money launderers will be caught.
