The Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division (PASSD) announced it will partner with Facebook and Invest2Innovate to host a first-of-its-kind ‘Design Hackathon’ on malnutrition at the National Incubation Centre here on December 14-15.
Invest2Innovate finds, selects & vets impact entrepreneurs for the i2i Accelerator, an annual four-month program that provides business support and access to mentors and investment. Since 2012, i2i has accelerated 41 startups in Pakistan, which have gone on to raise over $6M in capital, scaled their businesses, created over 1500 jobs, and deepened their social and economic impact in the country.
Millions of children in Pakistan suffer health and development consequences due to malnutrition, making it a priority area of Ehsaas.
The hackathon will connect experts in malnutrition with digital marketers who, with additional support from Facebook, will help build innovative digital campaigns around the specific challenges of malnutrition.
By partnering with technology and social media platforms, Ehsaas be able to reach new people across Pakistan with educational messages on malnutrition and its different facets.
