In an effort to significantly improve your viewing experience, Netflix is currently working on a new feature called “Downloads For You”. This new feature very similar to the “Smart Downloads” feature, which enables the Netflix app to automatically download the next episode of TV series that you’re currently watching to offer uninterrupted playback.
“Downloads For You” feature, on the other hand, automatically downloads shows and movies that you haven’t watched yet. Based on shows that you’ve watched it earlier, Netflix will display content that it thinks you’ll enjoy but haven’t watched yet. All the downloaded shows/movies will appear in the Downloads tab in a new category just below your other smart downloads content. The feature works over a WiFi connection, so there is no need to worry about running out of mobile data.
If you’re worried that you’ll run out of storage, you’ll be able to set a storage limit to prevent the app from using up all your internal space.
