Justice Gulzar Ahmed takes oath as 27th Chief Justice of Pakistan

justice Gulzar Ahmed on Saturday (today) confirmed as Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) at a service at the President’s House in Islamabad.

Equity Gulzar was managed vow by President Arif Alvi.

The function was gone to by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, administrations boss, individuals from the government bureau, parliamentarians and serving and resigned judges of the Supreme Court and legal advisors.

Justice Gulzar will fill in as Chief Justice of Pakistan till Feb 21, 2022.

Justice Gulzar Ahmed was conceived on February 2, 1957, at Karachi. He got his initial instruction from the Gulistan School, Karachi and got B.A. Degree from Government National College, Karachi and LL.B. Degree from S.M. Law College, Karachi.

He was chosen as Honorary Secretary of the Sindh High Court Bar Association for the year 1999-2000.

He was raised to the post of a judge of the Sindh High Court on 27th August 2002 and later, as a judge of the Supreme Court on sixteenth November 2011.

justice Gulzar Ahmed stayed acting Chief Justice of Pakistan from twentieth – 28th November 2018 and thirteenth – seventeenth May, 2019.

The previous CJP Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, who got resigned on Friday, through the span of his almost multi decade long profession has chosen around 55,000 cases. He was among the two judges to give the decision excluding previous Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
