At the ceremony held at the Sindh Governor’s House in the city of Karachi, Engro Corporate, Engro Fertilizers, and Dawood Hercules Company won the Top 25 Corporations for the Year.
The prizes were presented by Prime Minister Imran Khan and Prime Minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Chairman of Engro Corporation, and the Dawood Hercules Company, to the Prime Minister for Finance.
The Pakistan Education Initiative (Karachi) and the Dawood Foundation help Husain Dawood as a pioneer in business and philanthropic pakistan.
Every year, on the basis of a rigorous criteria that includes strong corporate governance, transparency, excellent financial and administrative efficiency, and compliance with the listing of companies and the security regulations, PSX honors the performance of the listed enterprises.
Engro Corporation was also recently voted Pakistan’s Most Outstanding Company in the Industrial Sector by Asia’s Outstanding Companies Poll, conducted by the financial publication Asiamoney.
The award, presented in Singapore, acknowledges the listed companies that have excelled in areas such as financial performance, management team excellence, IR activities, and CSR.
In line with its philosophy of ‘Mission Hai Pakistan’, the Engro Foundation also held the IATC awards to highlight the efforts of individuals working towards improving the education and health sectors, and for the betterment of livelihoods of underprivileged people in the country.
