A major new alliance with AccesRail, the world’s leading provider for intermodal air-train solutions, was announced by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
What is AccesRail?
AccesRail is a company that sells train tickets within the booking system for air travel, for trains in Belgium, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom.
The Partnership will enable PIA to use its customers to reserve train tickets via PIA’s reservation portal or via Global Distribution System. The partnership will allow PIA to use its expertise.
The new arrangement allows PIA passengers to access cities and destinations other than PIA’s and to meet their final destination conveniently at the best possible fares on a chosen route and the same ticket at the PIA’s main gateways, in UK, Europe and Canada.
A number of rail-bus routes operated by large railway / bus companies in conjunction with PIA operating flights would connect PIA passengers to and from their international flights.
RENFE Spain, VIA RAIL Canada, VI Norway, Great West Railways and the United Kingdom Avanti West Coast are the transportation providers.
In addition, this agreement involves spacious coach tracks from London Heathrow Airport and Manchester Airport in the UK run by National Express to major British communities.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) PIA, Air Marshal Arshad Malik congratulated the airline’s marketing team for providing this added facility to the passengers who can now book and buy their rail/ bus tickets from PIA and its travel agencies for travel in UK, Spain, Norway and Canada.
