PM Imran Invites SAP to Establish Software Labs in Pakistan

Christian Klein, CEO SAP called Prime Minister Imran Khan in Davos to the 2020 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

During the conference, the German tech giant PM Imran Khan invited SAP to support Pakistan’s Digital Pakistan Initiative and to set up software laboratories.

Mr. Klein informed the Prime Minister that since the last 20 years, the SAP has had a long-standing relationship with Pakistan, with his main project being a digital government pension and salary management system.

CEO SAP appreciated the Pakistan government focus on digitization of governance and economic sectors. He expressed SAP’s commitment to train young software engineers in Germany and using them for software development in Pakistan.

The meeting was attended by Finance Consultant Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Trade Adviser Abdul Razaq Dawood, SAPM Syed Zulfaqar Abbas Bokhari, SAPM Dr. Moeed Yusuf and Ambassador Ali Jehangir Siddiqui, Major Foreign Investment Ambassador.

SAP is one of the world’s largest business software companies with a strong base in Pakistan’s public and private sector, known for its Enterprise Resource Planning applications.
