Pakistani Veteran Legend Wasim Akram to Appear in Cricket Ground Yet Again

Pakistani legend Wasim Akram is scheduled to play in Australia on February 8 for the bushfire appeal game.

Wasim Akram had offered his services long before he was asked to attend a charity match demonstrating his love for Australia in his times of need. The Swing Sultan should be a player with crowds from all over Australia.

The Big Appeal, which was called the Australian Red Cross Disaster and Recovery Trust, is a charity match. Burnt millions of hectares of land, nearly a billion wild animals have been killed in the ravaging fires in different parts of Australia.

The Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is also a former star. Around the same day as the final Big Bash League (BBL) and Australia versus India Women T20I, the bush fire cricket bash is being played between Shane Warne XI and Ricky Ponting XI.

Leading run-scorer of all time, Sachin Tendulkar, will also be a part of the match as a coach for Ponting XI whereas West Indian great, Courtney Walsh will coach Warne XI.

Former footballer, Luke Hodge, Rugby star, Andre Johns, Australian Women’s team internationals, Elyse Villani and Grace Harris will also be making an appearance at the match. Mel Jones and Steve Waugh will also be present at the occasion as non-playing members.
