Technically, in over two years, Motorola has not launched a smartphone flagship. But next month, that’s going to change. At MWC 2020, which will take place on February 24 in Barcelona, Spain, Motorola confirms it is launching the flagship phone.
On February 23, at 7 p.m. CEST, just 1 day before the start of MWC 2020, Motorola started sending out media invitations announcing a launch event. This could be an intelligent move from the Lenovo brand, since Samsung and Huawei will not be launching their flagship devices at the event. So the latest Motorola smartphone at the Barcelona event could be a good priority.
The Motorola Z2 Force, announced in August 2017, has been the last true flagship of the product. More recently, the new Razr 2019 is the closest thing to Motorola’s mobile flagship. But even the Razr offers a mid-range niche market.
We don’t have information on what device is meeting us at the event, but it could likely be from its Z series lineup.
