The retrospective meetings of Prime Minister Imran Khan with US President Donald Trump seem to have paid off, improving relations between the two countries, which had previously worsened. The PM also plans to benefit from Pakistan International Airline (PIA), as it announced that it will begin direct flights to the United States by 2020.
Information of the planned US operations were unclear before, however, a response from the PIA official handle on Twitter suggested that flights start this year in April.
It’s great news for many overseas Pakistanis in the US and frequent travelers between the two countries. The new route will reduce the travel time while also allowing the patriot Pakistanis to contribute to the success of their national flag carrier.
PIA had earlier discontinued its flights to the US due to huge financial losses.
