Pakistan Makes History by Including Transgender Woman in its Delegation at UN CEDAW

In the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) in Geneva, Switzerland, Pakistan is the first country in the world to include a legally acceptable transgender woman in its national delegation.

During the session, Pakistan State delegation which was led by the Ministry of Human Rights, successfully completed the review of Pakistan’s fifth Periodic UN CEDAW Report in Geneva
