Railways to Start Shuttle Train Service Between Lahore-Gujranwala

ARY News reports that Pakistan Railways had announced on Friday the introduction of a new shuttle service between Lahore and Gujranwala.

A shuttle service is operated on the orders of the Federal Railway Minister, Sheik Rasheed, according to a railway spokesperson.

In a statement, the cost of the shuttle service is Rs100.

It is important to notice that Sheik Rasheed announced last month that from next month on Pakistan Railways is scheduled to introduce a new transportation train from Lahore to Gujranwala.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch the Gujranwala train shuttle service. Earlier, Pakistan Railways restored the shuttle train service between Lahore and Wagah Railway Station.

The train named “Rail Car” has the capacity for 181 passengers. The Wagah to Lahore train service was shut down in 1997 due to security reasons
