Famous Pakistani actors Ahad Raza Mir, Usman Khalid Butt, Ahmed Ali Akbar and Wahaj Ali’s drama ‘Ehd e Wafa’ are gaining popularity on the Internet.
Where social media has been receiving mixed reactions from fans, a petition has now been filed in Lahore High Court for the ban on the role of politicians and media.
The Registrar’s Office also raised objections to the petition filed by the Lahore High Court against ‘Ehd e Wafa’, after which the Lahore High Court directed the petitioner to dismiss the registrar’s office and set the petition for hearing.
A law student named Mohammad Zeeshan had filed a petition in the Lahore High Court for a ban on ‘Ehd e Wafa’.
Describing his position, he said that the role of politicians, media, bureaucracy and the army was shown in the play while the role of politicians and media was being played.
He added that the role of politicians and the media in the pact has been negatively affecting Pakistan in the outside world.
Mohammad Zeeshan requested the court to order the play to be banned.
