List of Countries Where PIA is Not Flying Due to Coronavirus

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has temporarily halted flight operations to and from many countries an attempt to thwart the spread of coronavirus.

PIA has offered refunds and travel waivers, free of charge to all those clienteles who had reserved tickets to and from Qatar. Abdullah Hafeez said the national carrier regretted the inconvenience conducted due to flight postponement.

In accordance with the travel advisory directed by the government of Italy due to the coronavirus outbreak,  PIA is temporarily suspending flight operations between Pakistan and Milan from 10th March 2020 until further notice. 


In accordance with travel restrictions imposed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Qatar, PIA is temporarily suspending flight operations from Pakistan to Doha from 9th March 2020 until further notice.


In accordance with directives issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the following are not allowed entry to the KSA from 27 Feb 2020 until further notice:

– All passengers travelling on Umrah visa (for the purpose of Umrah and/or visiting Medina)

– All passengers holding Tourist visas from countries with confirmed coronavirus outbreaks.

PIA flights to KSA will be operating as per normal schedule otherwise.

Any change of booking, cancellation, refund, and/or no-show charges have been waived for all passengers who are booked on Jeddah & Medina bound flights from Pakistan, and are unable to travel due to KSA’s travel restrictions due to coronavirus. This facility is valid till * 31st March 2020.


In accordance with directives from regulatory authorities in Pakistan, PIA has temporarily reduced its services to Beijing and Tokyo. Flights have been suspended till 31st March 2020.
