The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has given strict orders for anyone violating its coronavirus pandemic directives.
The government has announced that violators that face both fines and at least a year in prison. The sentence can also be suspended for up to two years, the notice warned.
The Department also confirmed that officers have the authority to act in compliance with the 2010 Law of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
Moreover, district deputy commissioners were advised to issue notices wherever and whenever necessary. So far, the northwestern province has reported 15 confirmed cases of the cornavirus, while the national tally has hit 237.
