Swvl has confirmed the continuation, while also taking additional precautionary steps for the safeguarding of rides for the crews and the passengers, of the services in Pakistan.
A ride-hailing press release says it has partnered to raise awareness among Swvl riders of coronavirus prevention with government transport officials.
Some of the precautionary measures the company has adopted include providing captains with disinfectants, crew training to keep bus seats clean before and after each ride, and more.
Swvl says that it has also activated an open windows policy to ensure the required fresh air ventilation, and lowered the seating capacity to make sure its riders can get the required personal space.
Swvl has also urged riders to restrict their commute to necessary purposes only besides cleaning their hands frequently and keeping the required personal space during commutes.
The service said that it would keep assessing the situation closely with relevant authorities to take any other necessary measures.
