Multan Sets Up Largest Quarantine Center to Fight Covid-19 by Punjab Govt

In order to keep pilgrims from Iran isolated, the Punjab government has built a quarantine center on the Multan Industrial Estate.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi claimed in a statement that there are 3,000 rooms in this quarantine centre. In 1247 pilgrims who have returned from Iran, he said, every pilgrim is shifted into the quarantine.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs has also said that a 50 bed hospital has been built in Multan for health care facilities. The government is doing all it can to prevent the spread of Corona virus, says Shah Mahmood Qureshi.

He said people should implement the instructions being given by the government and take preventive measures so that this difficult situation could be dealt with successfully.

At least one hundred CCTV cameras are installed at the quarantine center. The Multan quarantine center is the country’s largest treatment facility.

The district would host all the pilgrims at the quarantine center, which has the capacity to accommodate 3,000 people.

Pakistan on Friday reported its third coronavirus death as 77-year-old patient passed away in Karachi, Sindh Health Minister Dr Azra Fazal Pechuho confirmed.
