NADRA, Passport offices to Close for 15-days Due to Covid-19 Spread

In the light of the increasing number of coronaviruses cases in the country, key government offices, including NADRA and passport offices, will remain close for 15 days for public transactions.

The creation is part of the government’s precautionary efforts to avoid the spread of the coronavirus pandemic following the dramatic rise over recent days in the number of cases in Pakistan.

The closure of the above-mentioned offices come into effect from Friday (today) onwards, stated a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior.

Furthermore, excise and taxation office, property dealing office, beauty parlors, saloons would also remain close for the 15-days period as well.

The government on Thursday completely sealed Wagah border in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus. According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Interior, the Wagah border will remain seal for an initial period of two weeks. The notification further stated that the suspension of activities at the border was in the best interest of both Pakistan and India.
