Prime Minister Imran Khan said Thursday that the decision to ease the country’s lockdown will be made following consultations with the provincial authorities.
Pm Khan has told members of Balochistan’s cabinet that the National Command and Control Center closely monitors the situation in the region.
Last month, following a sudden coronavirus outbreak, the country was locked down. At least 62 people have been confirmed to be killed by the virus in the country and 4,317 cases have risen.
According to Radio Pakistan, the premier said that the country’s health care system is likely to face immense pressure by the end of this month due to the rising number of coronavirus cases.
He urged the nation to show unity to contain the spread of the virus.
