WEF Acknowledges PM Imran’s ‘Green Stimulus’ Package as ‘Win-Win’

World Economic Forum (WEF) has acknowledged Prime Minister Imran Khan’s “Green Stimulus” package which was approved on Wednesday as part of the government’s efforts to extend green cover in the county and create job opportunities for the youth, especially in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis.

The report titled “COVID-19: Pakistan’s ‘green stimulus’ scheme is a win-win for the environment and the unemployed” was published in collaboration with Thomson Reuters Foundation on the WEF website today.

The feature also highlighted as to how the project is providing employment opportunities to those who were rendered jobless due to coronavirus lockdown.
