48 Different Ventilators are Being Designed and Developed in Pakistan to Combat COVID-19

In Pakistan, 48 various ventilators are being designed and created. Upon approval of the ventilators by the Pakistan Regulatory Authority for Drugs , medical facilities are given.

In addition to this, Fawad Chaudhary, the Federal Minister of Science and Technology has also confirmed that the manufacturing of ventilators and other crucial medical supplies to combat COVID-19 will be available for commercial as well as export purpose as well.

There will be no compromise on the quality of the medical equipment produced locally. Also, there is a lot of demand for surgical masks, ventilators and personal protective equipment in Canada, United States and Europe.

Regarding the forty-eight ventilator designs the federal minister of science and technology claims:

‘Pak Engineering Council received 48 designs of ventilators three approved and now sent to DRAP for final approvals, trials of these ventilators will be conducted in four hospitals once approved ll go for commercial manufacturing, indigenous Ventilators will be far cheaper,’

If the designs are approved this will immensely help support the faltering health care system in Pakistan. Besides dwindling medical supplies, the health care facilities are also fighting the ignorant mind set of people. Unfortunately, many still believe that the virus is just a conspiracy theory and nothing else and they end up creating riots which leads to damage and harm. The cases are increasing two folds in the country and it is highly pertinent that we follow SOPs to the T.
