The Ministry of Maritime Affairs has formulated a new shipping policy to attract the private sector in the shipping sector. Under this policy, shipping companies will be able to get huge financial incentives by registering their ships in Pakistan, even from customs duties. Exceptions will be made.
Ali Zaidi said that the policy would reduce the annual freight bill of 5 billion on Pakistan and would also create employment opportunities.
