Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping, Ali Haider Zaidi said that the in pursuance of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of blue economy the federal cabinet allowed Maritime Ministry’s initiative to start ferry or passenger ships to all possible destinations across the world.
Minister for Maritime Affairs, Ali Zaidi termed the cabinet’s decision a historic one, saying: “Maritime frontiers (of Pakistan) are now open for sea travel.”

Federal Cabinet allowed @MaritimeGovPK initiative to start Ferry/Passenger Ships to all possible destinations across the world.
Maritime frontiers now open for sea travel.
The federal cabinet has given approval to initiate ferry service for pilgrims (Zaireen and Hujjaj) to provide them an affordable travel facility.
Information Minister, Shibli Faraz said in a post cabinet meeting press conference said, “The federal cabinet has approved launching of a ferry service for pilgrims and all necessary facilities including immigration and customs would be provided to passengers at Port Qasim, Karachi, and Gwadar.”
Maritime ministry’s has prepared a feasibility to launch the ferry service not only for the Middle East but other destinations as well.
