‘Another Arab Country to Sign Agreement with Israel’

A US diplomat at the United Nations says another Arab country is expected to sign a peace deal with Israel this week.

According to Arab News, Kelly Kraft, the US ambassador to the United Nations, told the news channel Al Arabiya on Wednesday that another country will sign an agreement with Israel in the next day or two. “There is much more that will be announced soon,” he said.

It should be noted that the statement of the US diplomat came a week after the UAE and Bahrain reached an agreement with Israel.
The Abraham Accord agreement was signed to normalize relations with Israel.

Kelly Craft said the United States wanted to bring other Arab countries into the agreement. “I know many more (countries) will follow.”

Earlier this week, US President Donald Trump told world leaders he had never been “so optimistic” about the future of the Middle East.
