Watch: World’s Largest Fountain to Launch in Dubai this Month

The Palm Fountain located on the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai will attempt to break a Guinness World Records (GWR) title on Thursday, October 22, as it aims to become the world’s largest fountain.

Situated at the Pointe, it is spread over 14,000 square feet of sea water.

The fountain’s shooter pumps water up to 105 metres into the air, and the entire attraction includes over 3,000 LED lights.

The Palm Fountain will have 20 bespoke shows with five different shows running daily between sunset to midnight (7pm-12am), while swaying to an array of popular songs including Khaleeji, pop, classic and international music.

Each show will last for three minutes, and will be performed every 30 minutes.

On October 22, the day of the launch event, visitors of The Pointe will be able to enjoy an entire day of festivities, including all-day events and competitions from The Pointe’s restaurants.

The day-long event will be open to the public who register their interest to attend on Platinumlist. The first 5,000 customers to arrive at the venue will receive a free LED wristband.

Beginning at 4pm on that day, there will be live entertainment including multiple DJ sets, dance shows, performers, and a fireworks show organised to commemorate the event too.

Free shuttle buses will be available to take visitors from Nakheel Mall to The Pointe every 30 minutes.

“Nakheel Malls is proud to launch The Palm Fountain, a celebration of Dubai’s resilience and building on the expanding portfolio of iconic attractions on Palm Jumeirah. We look forward to the inspiration this will bring customers at The Pointe, residents of Palm Jumeirah, our retailers, tourists and the wider community,” said Omar Khoory, managing director, Nakheel Malls.
