Authorities in Karachi have arrested a top agent of Indian spy agency RAW on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Abdul Jabbar alias Zafar Tenshan, a bomb-making and modern weapons expert, was arrested from Gulistan Johar area of the megacity by the Federal Investigative Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Terror Wing.
Zafar Tenshan, who used to work in Karachi’s Water and Sewerage Board, had visited India four times for getting militant training.
The RAW agent, who belongs to MQM-London, was also involved in the attack on MQM-Haqiqi leader Afaq Ahmad and his supporters.
The Indian agent was working for a RAW sleeper cell in Karachi. He received instructions from one Mahmood Siddiqui from India and also received funds sent by Mahmood Siddiqui through Hundi. These funds were used to finance terrorism and target killings.
Zafar Tenshan had also worked with Ajmal Pahari and Arshad Chhota groups. He went to prison twice for involvement in terror-related incidents.
