Educational Institution with 2 COVID-19 Cases Reported Will be Closed

A meeting of the provincial education ministers, chaired by the federal minister, will be held on Monday to discuss the issue of early winter vacations and increase their number in view of the rising incidence of corona.

The Federal Minister said that the educational institution from which 2 cases will be reported will be closed.

Earlier on November 5, a meeting of inter-provincial education ministers chaired by Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood decided not to close educational institutions in the country and agreed not to have minimum winter holidays or vacations.

In the meeting, the provinces agreed that there should be no minimum winter holidays or vacations and it was decided that there should be no winter holidays in Punjab.
Agreed to continue consultations on changing the academic calendar

Sources said that no decision could be taken on the board examinations of the eighth, ninth and tenth academic years from April to August. The next meeting of the inter-provincial education ministers will be held in December.
