Twitter with its new tweet sharing feature is making it even easier to spread tweets far and wide to every social media platform imaginable. The social media platform has launched a new tweet sharing feature for its mobile app users that would allow them to share tweets directly to Snap’s photo messaging app Snapchat.
This new feature will promote the cross media engagement and help the platform get more users. Twitter has said that users on the iOS platform can now post their tweets on Snapchat’s stories, or share them as individual messages on the app by tapping of the share icon. The company will soon roll out the feature for Android users as well.
Twitter also said that it would begin testing a similar feature for stories on Facebook-owned photo and video sharing platform, Instagram, for a small group of iOS users.
Furthermore, the social media company has also released plans for its new policy on how people are ‘verified’ on the platform. The company has been promising its users to revamp and address the confusion and criticisms over the blue tick mark badges it uses to authenticate the identity of prominent accounts.
The company after receiving massive criticism regarding its hands-off approach, has been tightening its policies in recent years, as it had allowed abuse, fake accounts, and misinformation to thrive on its platform.
