The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to set up two cryptocurrency (bitcoin) mining plants in the province and approved funds to create a digital currency.
Cryptocurrency is a digital currency that is exempt from the rules of government and federal banks and can be created and used individually.
Speaking on ARY News program Bakhbar Sawira, Ziaullah Bangash, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Information Technology, said that the government has decided to set up two cryptocurrency (bitcoin mining) plants and create digital currency. We will also issue NOCs to business people.
He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government felt that Pakistan should not lag behind in the field of digital currency mining.
He added that there are currently 11 million bitcoins in circulation around the world, with a daily increase of 90%.
He said that the first step has been taken by the KP government and hoped that other provinces would follow suit in this regard. He said that since December 16, 2020, its price has increased by 13,000 Dollers.
