In a Hilarious Way India Lodged FIR Against Pakistani Pigeon

A suspicious pigeon was caught near the International Border at Punjab when the bird came flying near a constable who was on duty at BOP Roranwala. An FIR has been lodged against the pigeon which was carrying a piece of paper tied to its legs.

The black and white pigeon was caught on April 17 evening when it came and sat on the shoulder of constable Neeraj Kumar while he was on camp guard duty at the post, which is 500 meters from the border with Pakistan.

According to the complaint, the constable immediately caught hold of the pigeon and informed the post commander Ompal Singh, who then scanned the pigeon.

A white paper was found wrapped with an adhesive tape which had a number written on it. An FIR has been lodged at the Kahagarh police station in Amritsar against the pigeon.

The FIR has identified the pigeon as a white one with a black head. Among the recovered items is the piece of white paper.

In a similar incident, another pigeon, suspected to be trained in Pakistan for spying, was captured along the International Border in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir in May 2020.

Officials said the pigeon was carrying a “coded message” and was captured by residents of Manyari village in Hiranagar sector soon after it flew into this side from Pakistan.
