It has been decided to shift all schools in Punjab to solar energy in phases.
According to Express News, a meeting of the Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar in which important decisions were taken to control environmental pollution.
Under which now private cars in the province will also have to get inspection certificate, inspection certificate will be required for vehicles older than 5 years, earlier it was only required for large vehicles and trucks.
The Punjab Cabinet has decided to phase out all the schools in the province on solar energy. Converting the schools to solar energy will save billions of rupees annually.
Addressing a press conference after the meeting, Special Assistant for Information Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the Punjab Cabinet has approved to give special allowance to the employees of grade one to 19, 21 to 25 percent allowance is being given to government employees from June 1.
According to the Special Assistant, Rs 7.1 billion has been sanctioned for the provision of free treatment facilities in seven districts of the province. 290,000 families will be able to avail health insurance, while all the citizens of Punjab will get health by December. The card will be provided.
