The Medical and Dental College (MD CAT) exam will be online from August 30 to September 30.
Talking to media, Dr. Taqi, President, Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC), said that the syllabus has been approved by the council.
PMC Vice President Ali Raza said that for the first time in Pakistan computerized examination will be held and registration will start from tomorrow morning. More than 60,000 have already been registered.
Ali Raza said that foreign graduates have registered for the National Licensing Examination. Pakistani graduates will be able to take the exam in November and December.
He said that every medical college in Pakistan must open its admissions by June 30. The child will not be admitted before the merit list and it will be made public.
Ali Raza said that doctors coming to Pakistan from abroad would be examined in the first week of October. We have more than 2.5 million registered doctors whose lives we do not know whether they are alive or not. That’s why we’re starting biometrics.
The Vice President PMC said that there is a time limit of 45 days for registration after which the license will be canceled. All licenses will now be digitized. Doctors’ national identity card number will be their license number.
