Govt Change Strategy Regarding Pfizer Vaccine

The government has changed its policy on the use of the Pfizer vaccine.

According to sources in the Ministry of Health, the use of Pfizer vaccine will start from this week and the strategy has been changed due to low dose of Pfizer vaccine.

According to sources, the government has decided not to vaccinate those going abroad on study and work visas. The Pfizer vaccine will be given to pilgrims and people suffering from chronic diseases.

Upon receipt of the second batch of Pfizer, it will be administered to expatriates and the Pfizer vaccine will be available at designated vaccination centers in 15 cities.

According to sources, special training of vaccinators on the use of Pfizer vaccine has been completed. Pakistan has received 1,620 doses of Pfizer vaccine from Covax.

The AstraZeneca vaccine is available for expatriates and is recognized in Europe, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
