Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event is expected to take place on August 11. Samsung is yet to make the announcement for this Galaxy Unpacked event but considering we always witness one in August, it is most likely happening on August 11.
Here, the South Korean giant will possibly launch the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Buds 2 and Galaxy Watch 4. A new report suggests that Samsung could launch another foldable smartphone and this would be an affordable model of the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
According to a report by Korea Herald, Samsung is expected to launch two Galaxy Z Flip 3 models. One would be the regular Galaxy Z Flip 3, successor to the Galaxy Z Flip 2. The other one will reportedly be called Galaxy Z Flip 3 Lite, and it will be a “mass-market model with a more affordable price tag”.
With the launch of three foldable phones, Samsung is said to make 2021 a year of foldable phones. The report added that the cover display on the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will be bigger this time with a 1.9-inch screen as opposed to the 1.1-inch cover display on the previous models. Leaked renders of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 have revealed a design that houses a large external display.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is also rumoured to come in multiple colours of dark green, pastel yellow, black, pink, grey, dark blue and white. Leaked renders of the foldable also show a two-toned look where the cover display along with two cameras are encased in a solid, glossy black glass rectangle.
The pricing of Galaxy Z Flip 3 has also been leaked by tipster FronTron. The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is said to be priced at $1,249 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model. It could come in another configuration with an even lower price ranging from $999 to $1,099. This would make the Galaxy Z Flip 3 more affordable than its predecessor. It’s interesting to see how much the Galaxy Z Flip 3 Lite will cost since it’s pegged to be an affordable foldable.
