Samsung has confirmed that it will host the next Galaxy Unpacked event on August 11. This confirms rumours and leaks on Samsung launching new devices at its next Galaxy Unpacked on August 11.
Samsung confirmed this to Korean publication Digital Daily. It will be a virtual event that will be live streamed at 11 pm KST which would be 7:30 pm IST for viewers in India. The report added that Samsung will launch a total of five new products including Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch Active 4, and Galaxy Buds 2. It also mentioned that the rumoured Galaxy S21 FE smartphone will not show up at this event.
This would be Samsung’s third Galaxy Unpacked event this year and it’s looking to be the biggest as well. We’re going to see new foldables, new smartwatches and wireless earbuds as well. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is said to come with support for S Pen. Like the Galaxy S21 Ultra, the S Pen might not come bundled with the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
As for the Galaxy Z Flip 3, this foldable is said to feature a larger cover display. This too has been refrred to by known tipsters. There was a report suggesting that Samsung will launch an affordable foldable Galaxy Z Flip 3 Lite which will be a more affordable offering than the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 will be the latest smartwatch offerings from Samsung. The highlight will most likely be the new operating system (OS) for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4. Samsung has partnered with Google to develop a customised Wear OS for its smartwatches. The interface will be One UI Watch which blends both Wear OS and Samsung’s One UI.
The Galaxy Buds 2 have also been showing up in leaks and reports. The Galaxy Buds 2 are expected to be launched in four colour variants – Green, Blue, Violet and White. The earbuds are expected to be priced between EUR 180-200.
