Pakistan Heading for Smart Lockdown on Eid-ul-Adha

Federal Minister for Development and Planning Asad Omar has said that corona virus could lead to smart lockdown on Eid.

Addressing the swearing-in ceremony of the members of the National Youth Council, Federal Minister for Development and Planning Asad Omar said that we do not want to impose restrictions on Eid nor will we go for nationwide lockdown.

He said that corona cases were increasing not only in Islamabad but in the entire country. He will brief Prime Minister Imran Khan today on the growing number of cases in the country.

He said that the National Command and Control Operation (NCOC) had a meeting on the expected fourth wave of Corona. Corona cases have risen in the country this month.

Talking about the Azad Kashmir elections, the Federal Minister said that a letter has been sent to the Azad Kashmir Election Commission on the violations of SOPs.
