The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has reduced electricity by 21 paise per unit.
Consumers will get relief in next month. NEPRA will issue its detailed decision regarding reduction in electricity price later.
The decision will not apply to Lifeline Agricultural Consumers and K Electric Consumers. Sindh NEPRA member Rafiq Sheikh asked whether CPPA has any power transmission agreement with NTDC.
CPPA officials said that NTDC has power transmission agreements with power companies. Member Sindh NEPRA said that if PCC does not take responsibility for anything then why they have brought tariff petitions.
Rafiq Sheikh said that it has been going on for two and a half years and the institutions are putting responsibility on each other. Now it is time for Seattle to decide who is responsible. It may be recalled that NEPRA had earlier on July 12, 2021 reduced the price of electricity by 26 paise
