Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid has said that a working plan for setting up of a new dental college at Faisalabad Medical University has been finalized.
Talking to media after the Syndicate Meeting of the Faisalabad Medical University on Wednesday, she said that the Punjab government had allocated a record budget of Rs370 billion for the health sector this financial year, besides a separate allocation of Rs22 billion from the Federal government.
Dr Yasmin Rashid said that the 4th wave of Corona Pandemic was ferocious and people must take precautionary measures. She appealed to the media to raise awareness on vaccination. “In the last 24 hours, 1240 new cases of Corona were reported in Punjab.
Around 70 percent cases are linked to the Delta variant. By August 14, vaccination targets of 40 percent of the population of over 18 years of age had been set in five major cities that were Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi and Multan.
