Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is rumoured to be an affordable model in the Galaxy S21 series. It is likely to make compromises in specifications to keep the price in check. However, the design language is likely to resemble that of the S21 series. We recently received 360-degree renders of the device. Plus, most of the specifications have also already been tipped.
The smartphone was rumoured to launch alongside the next-gen foldables at the August Unpacked event. However, that didn’t happen. Now, a new report suggests that the Galaxy S21 FE launch is just around the corner. As per a Twitter tipster, the Galaxy S21 FE will be launched on September 8. A new tweet by Max Weinbach also suggests that Samsung is indeed gearing up for the launch of the phone.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is said to come equipped with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There are no curved edges on this device. As per the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and China’s 3C certification websites, the Galaxy S21 FE will have support for 25W fast charging. The smartphone was also spotted on Geekbench, which revealed the presence of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. It could be paired with 8GB of RAM.
The Galaxy S21 FE might pack a 4,500mAh battery — slightly bigger than the Galaxy S21’s 4,000mAh capacity. It is tipped to measure 155.7×74.5×7.9mm. We could see the device launching on September 8. However, Samsung hasn’t even started teasing it officially.
As per the renders, the smartphone could be made available in multiple colour options like blue, grey, green, violet, and white. We can see from the renders that the upcoming Fan Edition device will retain the design of its Galaxy S21 siblings with the same rear camera module. As for the speaker grille, the SIM tray, and the USB Type-C port, they are situated at the bottom edge. As usual, the buttons are situated on the right edge. Moreover, the bezel surrounding the display is very thin.
