Overseas Pakistanis Can Give Fingerprint to Get Identity Card on Mobile Phone

Under Prime Minister’s vision to facilitate overseas Pakistanis, NADRA Registration Centre has been established at Pakistan Embassy in Washington.

Chairman NADRA Tariq Malik and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Asad Majeed Khan jointly inaugurated the Centre.

NICOP/POC and succession certificates now can be processed at the Embassy.

Chairman NADRA Tariq Malik has said that overseas Pakistanis will now be able to get identity cards on their mobile phones while fingerprints can also be print on their mobile phones.

Last month, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) launched a mobile app to create and renew identity cards online. After the development of this app, Pakistan became the first country in the world to introduce this technology. Thanks to this, citizens will be able to create identity cards at home with the help of a smartphone.
