Traffic Police Punjab has decided to extend the Paperless Driving License System to other cities in the province after a successful test run in Rawalpindi. The technique will be used in other cities after its success in Rawalpindi, according to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic Police Punjab Sohail Akhtar Sukhera.
What is Paperless Driving License System
Under this project, the citizens, who wish to acquire driving license, will only have to bring their NADRA CNIC now. The individual will be added to the paperless driving license system through biometric.
The DIG stated that the next phase of this program will be launched in Faisalabad. “The police will provide all facilities to citizens for driving license under a single roof,” Sukhera stated.
If spread across the province, it would be a great initiative for the common people. It will make the process of getting new driving license very easy. A large number of people don’t get the driving licenses due to its long process and documents needed for it, hence, a good project by Punjab police.
