A meeting of federal and provincial education ministers took place earlier today to examine the proposal to move winter breaks in educational institutions from December to January.
A final decision will be made at the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) meeting on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, according to a statement released by the federal education ministry earlier.
According to a representative for the federal education ministry, all provincial ministers were informed before making decisions about the winter break.
The session, which was chaired by Wajeeha Akram, Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Education, discussed reforms in the provincial education system as well as a suggestion to move the winter vacation to January. Additionally, the Sindh government announces winter vacation from 20 December to 1 January, so the academic session will start from the 3rd of January.
