HBL launches Pakistan’s first credit card transactions via mobile through HBL Pay

HBL has set off the first bank in Pakistan to allow its clients to use their mobile phones as credit cards and make payments instantly via HBL Pay, as part of its transition to becoming a ‘Technology Company with a Banking License.’

This feature, which is included in the HBL Mobile App, improves the customer experience by making it more appropriate and hassle-free. Tokenization technology, which is also used by leading technological companies, allows the HBL Mobile App to generate a special token for each card, which is then stored in the mobile phone.

HBL will enable efficient digital transactions in a safe and secure manner for its customers by enabling this technology.

Customers will be able to make payments by tapping their unlocked phones on a contactless-enabled Point of Sale (POS) machine instead of their physical credit cards, as the feature is now compatible with Android phones with NFC functionality.

HBL Pay, along with other existing features on the HBL Mobile App such as card activation, card blocking, and transactional controls, has propelled HBL CreditCards to the forefront of technological advancement. This product offering will allow HBL customers to experience a cardless environment.
