Cabinet Approves Pakistan’s First National Security Policy

According to National Security Adviser (NSA) Dr. Moeed Yusuf, the Federal Cabinet approved the country’s first National Security Policy on Tuesday.

“This is a truly historic accomplishment. A citizen-centric, comprehensive National Security Policy will now be pursued in earnest, with economic security at its core “On Twitter, Yusuf stated.

“Over time, this umbrella document will assist in guiding sectoral policies in order to achieve our national security goals.”

The policy would not have seen the light of day without Prime Minister Imran Khan’s constant leadership and motivation, according to the advisor.

Dr. Yusuf also expressed gratitude to the civil and military leadership for their assistance and input.

“The policy’s success will be set on by how well it is implemented, for which a strategy has been created. The PM will launch a public release of the NSP file, which will be released in due course “He sent out a tweet.

After a detailed briefing on the National NSP 2022-26 by the adviser on security, a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) presided over by the Prime Minister and attended by civil and military leadership gave its approval on Monday.
