A new video has just surfaced that reveals some fascinating details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and its S Pen. This new stylus appears to be three times faster than the one that came with the Galaxy Note20 Ultra.
The information comes from a XEETECHCARE YouTube video. While we’ve already covered a number of reports and rumors about the Galaxy S22 Ultra’s specifications, the new video provides more information about the device’s S Pen.
With the South Korean tech giant intent on continuing the Note series with its annual flagship’s Ultra models, Galaxy Note fans may welcome the new information. According to reports, the brand has improved the stylus, which is now three times faster than the Galaxy Note20 Ultra.
According to the video, the company worked on the S Pen to reduce the input delay or latency to just 2.8 ms when paired with the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This is more than three times faster than the S Pen’s 9 ms input lag on the Galaxy Note20 Ultra.
According to the YouTuber, Samsung’s goal with this enhancement is to provide users with a handwriting experience that is as close to the real thing as possible. He even referred to it as “the fastest, most realistic S Pen with three times the pen latency.”
Aside from that, the Tech YouTuber revealed that the upcoming flagship series’ top-end model will be the first to support the 12-bit HDR standard. Unfortunately, this is still an unverified report, so take it with a grain of salt for the time being. The Galaxy S22 series is expected to be released in February 2022, so stay tuned for more information.
