Rasheed Naz, a senior Pakistani film and television actor, died on Monday at the age of 73.
Rasheed’s daughter-in-law, actress Madiha Rizvi, announced her father’s death on social media. According to local media reports, the funeral prayers for the Deedan actor will be offered today at 3 p.m. in Char Sada Road Eidgah.
“Our beloved Baba Rashid Naz passed away this morning,” the actor wrote in his heartfelt tribute. Please recite Surah Al-Fatihah for the soul who has passed away.”
Rasheed Naz has appeared in a number of films and TV dramas. He was born in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on September 9, 1948, and began his television career as an actor in a Pushto television play. The well-known actor also appeared in Pakistan’s first private television play Dasht, which aired on NTM.
His first Urdu film was Dakait, directed by Syed Noor, and he also worked on Shoaib Mansoor’s hit Khuda Ke Liye.
