As the popularity of Turkish drama serials has grown since the debut of Diriliş: Erturul, PTV has announced plans to air a new series based on the life of the last Ottoman emperor, Sultan Abdul Hamid II.
The state-run channel announced on Twitter that it will air Payitaht: Abdülhamid in Urdu.
“Following Ertugrul Ghazi’s historic success, PTV is set to air the story of a Sultan who has a true devotion to the love of the Prophet (PBUH).”

The first episode of the drama serial will air on February 9, and it will air every Wednesday through Sunday at 7:55 p.m.
Payitaht: Abdülhamid stars Bülent nal and Zlem Conker and tells the storey of the last 13 years of Abdul Hamid II’s reign.
His reign in Payitaht, the capital city, saw various wars, railway developments, and requests for Palestinian lands, as well as the first Zionist congress.
