Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched a Scholarship Complaint Portal to expedite the resolution of complaints by scholarship students.
In his remarks at the portal’s launch ceremony on Thursday in Islamabad, he stated that the portal’s primary goal is to establish an exclusive facility for students receiving education on scholarship for their assistance and resolution of complaints.
The portal, according to the Prime Minister, will also ensure transparency and meritocracy in the scholarship process.
The meritocracy will provide opportunities for growth to the segments that have lagged behind.
He stated that a panel of academics will monitor the portal and that new subjects and disciplines for scholarships will be added based on market demand.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of capitalizing on the information technology revolution for the country’s advancement.
Speaking on the occasion, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood stated that the government has increased the number of scholarships for postgraduate and undergraduate students, which is unprecedented in Pakistani history.
He stated that the government has established 28 new universities and allocated 123 billion rupees for higher education.
According to the Minister, the government’s initiative of a Single National Curriculum will be a watershed moment in national development.
