TikTok now lets you upload videos longer than ten minutes. The company that created the app recently announced that it will be releasing an update that will allow users to upload videos up to 10 minutes long.
This is the second major change since TikTok videos were extended from one minute to three minutes in July 2021. Since the social media platform’s meteoric rise around the world, this shift had occurred. Since the platform shows no signs of slowing down, the company is now extending the total length of its videos to up to 10 minutes. This change will likely help creators upload more varied content as well.
“We’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our group and enrich the TikTok experience,” a spokesperson told TechCrunch. Last year, we added longer videos to TikTok, giving our users more time to create and be entertained. Today, we’re excited to begin rolling out the ability to upload videos up to 10 minutes long, which we hope will give our creators around the world even more creative freedom.”
Content creators will be able to upload longer videos for cooking demos, beauty tutorials, educational content, comedic sketches, and more as a result of this change. However, the company claims that the ability to film videos on the app will be available to all users worldwide in the coming weeks.
